The City of Roseburg’s new parking services contractor ACE Parking, will start giving out tickets for parking violations in downtown Roseburg and Laurelwood, on Friday.

A City release said tickets will range from $12 for such things as parking in an alley or tow-away zone, to $27 for being an hour over time, $28 for an expired meter and $210 for parking in a handicapped zone. Drivers will have ten days from the date of the ticket to pay the fine online at www.aceparking.com/roseburg or at the ACE office at 612 Southeast Jackson. The release said drivers must pay in person even if they plan to appeal.

Drivers who would like to get parking permits, ask questions or appeal a ticket should contact ACE at 541-900-1102, or email: roseburgenforcement@aceparking.com. City staff will refer all parking ticket questions to ACE.

Drivers who want to contest a ticket must start with an “administrative appeal” in writing, either online or with a hard copy appeal form. To start an appeal, call ACE, visit their office or go to their website.

After ten days, $10 will be added to the ticket. After thirty days, another $30 will be added. After fifty days, another $50 will be tacked on and the ticket will be sent to collections. The release said drivers who want to appeal a ticket must pay the original fine by the deadline to avoid the late fees. The fee will be returned if the appeal is granted. If the administrative appeal is denied, drivers will have a second appeal option to go before a Municipal Court judge.
