Sutherlin Police jailed a man for a restraining order violation and for unlawful possession of methamphetamine on Wednesday night.

An SPD report said just after 11:30 p.m. the 36-year old allegedly violated the order by making contact with the protected person in the 100 block of Hutchins Way. The suspect was detained. Before being transported to jail a search allegedly revealed two bags of methamphetamine in the man’s pocket.

Bail was set at $55,000.
