A Myrtle Creek woman was hospitalized after being knocked over by her vehicle on Monday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 12:10 p.m. 69-year old Frances Humbert was parking her car in the 200 block of Club Avenue in Winchester. When she got out, it started to roll backward. She tried to get back in to stop it, but it rolled over her ankle. The vehicle then rolled a hundred yards down the hill, hitting three mailboxes and a power pole.

Humbert was transported by ambulance to CHI Mercy Medical Center. She was treated and released, according to a hospital spokesperson.
