A motorcyclist was hospitalized following a two-vehicle wreck on Monday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said just before 3:30 p.m. the rider was driving up a hill in the 700 block of Ferguson Lane in Tiller. The motorist was coming down the narrow logging road and attempted to move over to the right to a wide spot to let the motorcyclist get past, but the report said the cyclist also turned towards that area, cutting in front of her.

The rider ended up getting hit by the pickup and his motorcycle was run over. The motorist helped the rider into her vehicle and drove him to the Days Creek Fire Chief’s residence.

40-year old Andrew Codner was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center before being transferred to PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend in Springfield. Codner is listed in good condition at last check, according to a hospital spokesperson.
