Winston Police terminated a pursuit shortly after it began on Sunday.

Sergeant Mike Miller said just before 5:00 p.m. officers attempted to stop a black sport motorcycle for a traffic violation near the intersection of Highway 42 and Old Brockway Road. Miller said the motorcycle failed to yield, speeding off westbound on Highway 42, which initiated the pursuit.

Miller said it was terminated due to public safety concerns.
