The Umpqua Fishery Enhancement Derby has settled on a new date for its rescheduled Fish Derby banquet.
The annual fundraising event will be held June 10 at the Douglas County Fairgrounds. The Executive Committee of the Umpqua Fishery Enhancement Derby decided in January to postpone the event from its originally scheduled date on Feb. 4 due to reduced number of reservations.
The banquet is usually the conclusion to a week of events that generate over $100,000 in funds used for watershed enhancement work, fish-rearing projects and outdoor education activities in the Umpqua River Basin, according to a release from the UFED.
Reservations for the banquet can be done online this year. The evening begins at 5 p.m. with a social hour and silent auction. Dinner is served at 6 p.m. and a live auction will be held at 7 p.m.
Single reservations are $75 and a table for 10 is $750.
