Tuesday Oregon Health Authority COVID-19 update

The Oregon Health Authority reported eight new COVID-19-related deaths and 269 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday’s report.

The statewide report showed the total number of COVID-related deaths has grown to 6,983.

Hospitalizations due to COVID-19 decreased on Tuesday’s report. The OHA showed there were 179 patients being hospitalized, 13 fewer than on Monday, and there were 28 COVID-19 patients in ICU beds, one fewer than the day before.

Multnomah County reported the highest case count in Oregon on Tuesday, with 55 new COVID cases. Lane County added 42 and Washington County 26.

Douglas County had seven new confirmed and presumptive cases, according to the OHA.
