Roseburg woman arrested on stolen vehicle and drug charges

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says a Roseburg woman was apprehended early Monday after the vehicle she was driving reportedly turned up stolen out of Eugene.

Heather Burns was lodged in the Douglas County Jail on charges of possession of a stolen vehicle and unlawful possession of meth, heroin and fentanyl. She has since been released from jail pending a court case on March 29.

The 45-year-old woman was reportedly spotted acting suspiciously in a 1985 Honda Civic at the Love’s Truck and Travel in Green around 12:30 a.m. A deputy ran the plate and learned the vehicle was stolen, according to DCSO.

Burns was arrested nearby after leaving in the alleged stolen vehicle. A male subject in the car managed to leave the scene on foot prior to the arrest and a search for the man was unsuccessful, according to DCSO.
