A Roseburg man was jailed following an alleged pursuit incident early Wednesday.

A Roseburg Police report said just after 1:00 a.m. officers responded to a possible domestic disturbance in a vehicle on the bike path near the Fir Grove soccer fields on Northwest Stewart Park Drive. Upon arriving, the suspect reportedly fled from officers at a high rate of speed. The pursuit was terminated due to reckless driving.

At 2:00 a.m. deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office located the vehicle near Costco on Northeast Stephens and re-initiated the pursuit. It ended at the Roseburg Veteran’s Administration facility after the vehicle crashed.

44-year old Patrick Peters Junior was taken into custody. He was charged with two counts each of attempting to elude and reckless driving and for third-degree criminal mischief. Bail was set at $168,750.
