One person was transported to the hospital after a vehicle lost a wheel and a tire on Interstate 5 northbound near the Winchester exit on Monday.

An Oregon State Police report said the accident happened at about 8:10 p.m. The wheel and tire struck four other vehicles. One of the vehicles had to be towed and that owner was taken by ambulance for minor injuries. No other drivers were injured and the rest of the vehicles could be driven from the scene.
