WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY THROUGH 11:00 A.M. SUNDAY IN MOUNTAIN AREAS

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 11:00 a.m. Sunday for mountain areas above 5,000 feet in parts of southern Oregon.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said the Advisory applies to the south central and southern Oregon Cascades and the Siskiyou Mountains, including to Crater Lake and Diamond Lake.

Forecasters said additional snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are expected with winds gusting as high as 50 miles per hour.

Drivers should plan on snow covered roads with reduced visibility at times. Heavy snowfall with rates of 1 inch per hour are anticipated early Sunday morning.
