Roseburg Police jailed a man following an alleged burglary on Friday.

An RPD report said just after 9:20 a.m. officers contacted the 34-year old suspect after he was caught sleeping inside the Roseburg Seventh-Day Adventist Church in the 1100 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard. Church employees said the man attempted to steal items from inside the church after he was found. The suspect was taken into custody and charged with 2nd-degree burglary and 3rd-degree theft. Bail was set at $51,250.
