A Roseburg man was jailed after an alleged theft on Saturday.

A Roseburg Police report said just before 11:45 a.m. the 41-year old allegedly stole several items from Big 5 Sporting Goods in the 2600 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway before walking behind the former K-Mart building nearby.

An officer contacted the suspect and returned the items to Big 5. The man was charged with 2nd-degree theft. Bail was set at $6,250. He was released later in the day.
