COVID-19 has claimed 40 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 6,662, as of Monday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 1,694 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 693,929. This includes data from counties for the three-day period between Friday and Sunday.

OHA said the total number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 is 479, which is unchanged from Sunday. There are 84 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 4 fewer than on Sunday.

The new cases include:

*337 in Multnomah County

*234 in Washington County

*154 in Clackamas County

*139 in Lane County
