11 MORE DEATHS, 229 MORE POSITIVE TEST RESULTS, 28 MORE PRESUMPTIVE, IN COUNTY

11 more people have died related to COVID-19 in Douglas County, 229 more people have received new positive test results, and 28 more are presumptive, as of Wednesday.

The Douglas County COVID-19 Weekly Update reported data between February 17th and Wednesday.

New deaths include a 72-year old man, a 73-year old man and 2 66-year old men. Delayed death reports include a 69-year old man, an 86-year old woman, a 57-year old man, a 66-year old man, an 87-year old woman, a 70-year old man, and a 92-year old woman. 6 of those who died were not vaccinated and 5 were fully vaccinated, but not up to date. 364 county residents have now died related to COVID-19 during the pandemic.

The total number of cases is now at 19,290. Of those, 18,403 are people that have received positive test results, and 887 are presumptive. 20 Douglas County COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 17 locally and 3 outside the area. Over the past week, CHI Mercy Medical Center averaged 2 COVID-19 positive patients in the Intensive Care Unit and 3 in the Progressive Care Unit. 13 of the 20 hospitalized patients are not fully vaccinated.
