WOMAN JAILED FOR WARRANT FOLLOWING ALLEGED HIT AND RUN

A California woman was jailed for a warrant following an alleged hit and run incident on Monday.

A Roseburg Police report said just after 10:30 a.m. officers responded to a traffic crash where the driver fled at the corner of Southeast Stephens Street and Northeast Douglas Avenue. Officers learned the vehicle crashed further east on Northeast Douglas. Officers contacted the 34-year old passenger. RPD was unable to locate the driver and the vehicle was towed as a hazard.

The passenger was taken into custody due to the warrant. Bail was set at $20,000. The suspect was released later in the day.
