February 22, 2022 4:10 a.m.

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 10:00 a.m. Tuesday for central Douglas County and surrounding areas.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said snow showers are expected above 1,500 feet. Additional snow accumulations of up to 1 inch are possible. Cold temperatures below 32 degrees could cause black ice to form on wet roads.

The Advisory area includes the towns of Azalea, Glendale, Tiller and portions of Highway 42 near Camas Valley, Interstate 5 south of Canyonville, and sections of the Tiller-Trail Highway.

Travel Tuesday morning could be difficult due to slick snow or ice-covered roads.
