A stolen vehicle was wrecked near Riddle on Monday.

An Oregon State Police report said at about 7:50 a.m. the driver of the SUV was contacted by the Riddle interchange on Interstate 5 northbound. Debris from the impact also damaged a second vehicle. An investigation revealed the vehicle had been taken from an address in Ashland. The registered owner was contacted. He did not realize the vehicle had been taken.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene. The 29-year old driver was cited for unauthorized use of a vehicle and then was released.
