COVID-19 CLAIMS 12 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 6,456, AS OF FRIDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 12 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 6,456, as of Friday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 1,635 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 685,953.

OHA said the total number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 in Oregon is 741, which is 47 fewer than on Thursday. There are 126 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 21 fewer than on Thursday.

The new cases include:

*251 in Multnomah County

*191 in Lane County

*163 in Washington County

*137 in Jackson County
