MAN JAILED FOR ALLEGED PRIOR ASSAULT INCIDENT

A Myrtle Creek man was jailed on Wednesday for an alleged prior assault incident.

A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said a victim reported that the alleged assault had taken place in December. As a result of the fight, the victim’s nose was broken. The suspect was out of town when the incident was reported.

The 40-year old suspect was contacted in the 100 block of Mar-Wan Court. He was charged with second-degree assault and recklessly endangering another person. Bail was set at $256,250.
