COVID-19 CLAIMS 23 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL 6,416, AS OF WEDNESDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 23 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 6,416, as of Wednesday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 1,728 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 682,566.

OHA said the total number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 776, which is 29 fewer than on Tuesday. There are 145 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 2 fewer than on Tuesday.

The new cases include:

*213 in Lane County

*208 in Multnomah County

*191 in Washington County

*187 in Marion County
