9 more people have died related to COVID-19 in Douglas County, 362 more people have received new positive test results, and 31 more are presumptive, as of Wednesday.

The Douglas County COVID-19 Weekly update reported data between February 10th and Wednesday.

The new deaths include: a 60-year old man, a 69-year old woman, a 66-year old man, a 71-year old man, a 51-year old man, an 88-year old woman, a 96-year old woman and a 93-year old man. 1 delayed death was reported – a 54-year old man who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on December 22nd and passed away on January 6th. County officials were notified of this death by Oregon Vital Records this week. 6 of those who died were not vaccinated and 3 were fully vaccinated, but not up to date. 353 county residents have now died related to COVID-19 during the pandemic.

The total number of cases is now at 19,033. Of those, 18,174 are people that have received positive test results and 852 are presumptive. 26 Douglas County COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 23 locally and 3 outside the area. Over the past week, CHI Mercy Medical Center averaged 2 COVID-19 positive patients in the Intensive Care Unit and 5 in the Progressive Care Unit. 22 of the 26 hospitalized patients are not fully vaccinated.
