A Roseburg man was arrested following an alleged assault incident early Friday.

A Roseburg Police report said at about 12:45 a.m. officers responded to a fight at a trailer parked in Stewart Park. The investigation substantiated that a 42-year old suspect and the victim were in a physical fight outside. Injuries indicated that the man had subjected the woman to substantial pain and fear.

He was charged with fourth-degree assault, menacing, second-degree disorderly conduct and for a violation amount of methamphetamine and taken into custody.
