8 MORE DEATHS, 602 MORE POSITIVE TEST RESULTS, 30 MORE PRESUMPTIVE

8 more people have died related to COVID-19 in Douglas County, 602 more people have received new positive test results and 30 more are presumptive, as of Wednesday.

The Douglas County COVID-19 Weekly Update reported data between February 3rd and Wednesday.

The new deaths include a 71-year old woman, an 83-year old woman, a 47-year old woman, a 68-year old man, a 72-year old man, a 79-year old woman, a 69-year old woman, and a 96-year old woman. 5 were not vaccinated, 1 was fully vaccinated and up-to-date, and 2 were fully vaccinated but not up-to-date. 344 county residents have now died related to COVID-19 during the pandemic.

The total number of cases of COVID-19 is now at 18,640. Of those, 17,812 are people that have received positive test results and 828 are presumptive. 40 Douglas County COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 36 locally and 4 outside the area. Over the past week, CHI Mercy Medical Center averaged 3 COVID-19 positive patients a day in the Intensive Care Unit and 6 in the Progressive Care Unit. 27 of the 40 hospitalized patients are not fully vaccinated.
