The Roseburg VA Health Care System, the Roseburg National Cemetery and Douglas County Veterans Services are teaming up to present a web-based seminar called, “Ease the Way”.
The event will cover decisions and procedures relating to healthcare at the end of life. It will take place Wednesday night from 5:30 p.m.to 7:00 p.m.
A VA release said it is for veterans, their families, friends and caregivers and will include information about:
*Advance care planning
*VA health care options when the end of life is near
*Funeral, memorial and burial ceremonies and how to coordinate key details
*Who can be laid to rest in VA National Cemeteries?
*Burial benefits for veterans who choose burial outside of a VA cemetery
Other topics will be covered as well.
The release said participants should register in advance. Once registered, they will receive an email link to where they can download the handouts for the seminar.
