A Roseburg man was jailed following an alleged criminal mischief incident early Friday.
A report from Roseburg Police said at 1:30 a.m. 38-year old James Wall was suffering from delusions and thought a woman had been kidnapped. He told officers he heard her inside a home in the 200 block of Northwest Meloy Avenue, so he broke a window to o the house. Wall then allegedly kicked in the back door of the home and the side door to the garage. He was detained by officers and admitted to damaging the house.
The homeowner was at home when the incident took place and said he did not know the suspect. Wall was charged with first and second-degree criminal trespass and for unlawful possession of methamphetamine. Bail was set at $101,250
