COVID-19 CLAIMS 59 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 3,959, AS OF THURSDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 59 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 3,959, as of Thursday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 1,453 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, raising the state total to 339,556.

OHA said the total number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 699, which is 31 fewer than on Wednesday. There are 173 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 14 fewer than on Wednesday.

The new cases include:

*134 in Washington County

*123 in Lane County

*116 in Marion County

*85 in Linn County

*73 in Jackson County

*71 each in Deschutes and Umatilla counties

*69 each in Clackamas and Polk counties

*64 in Klamath County

*61 in Douglas County

*51 in Yamhill County

*38 in Malheur County

*34 in Coos County

*29 in Crook County

*28 in Josephine County

*20 in Jefferson County

*19 in Hood River County

*18 in Baker County

*16 in Benton County

*14 in Union County

*13 each in Harney and Wasco counties

*10 in Clatsop County

*8 in Lake County

*7 in Morrow County

*6 in Wallowa County

*3 in Curry County

*2 each in Grant and Tillamook counties
