More progress has been made on clean up in the Rough Patch Complex.

An update from Rocky Mountain Incident Management Blue Team said over 185 miles of suppression repair work remains.

Firefighters will continue to monitor fire activity in the uncontrolled areas as isolated stumps, logs and deep duff will hold heat. A Burned Area Emergency Response Team have surveyed the burned areas. They have determined that overall, less than one percent of any of the fires resulted in high soil burn severity.

A cold front is expected to bring cooler temperatures and scattered showers. Ridgetop winds will become stronger with gusts up to 25 miles per hour. There is a potential for snow in elevations over 4,500 feet. Cooler temperatures and moisture will remain the trend over the next few days.

Containment on the Rough Patch Complex is 72 percent. The Jack Fire is 83 percent contained.
