In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

The Umpqua Community College Performing and Visual Arts department is presenting the Ross Hansen Memorial Concert this Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. at the Swanson Amphitheatre, on the school’s campus.

Dr. Jason Heald said the performance will be a musical tribute to musician and educator Ross Hansen, who served as band director at Fremont Middle School and was UCC adjunct faculty.

Dr. Heald said the concert will feature the Bighorn Jazz Band, Fremont Alumni Band and a host of local jazz musicians.
