Heavy rain blanketed the Devil’s Knob Complex on Saturday resulting in it staying at 69,301 acres.
The Pacific Northwest Team 2, a Type 1 Incident Management Team is now managing the complex. The change in the weather is allowing firefighters to assess opportunities to backhaul equipment that is no longer needed on the fire line and transport it back to the Incident Command Post. Firefighters will also assess roads that have compromised infrastructure.
The Smith Fire is still at 48,443 acres and remained 28 percent contained. The Big Hamlin Fire is unchanged at 19, 363 acres and 92 percent contained.
