MAN JAILED FOR FRAUD AND BURGLARY CHARGES

A Roseburg man was jailed on fraud and burglary charges on Wednesday.

A Roseburg Police report said at about 6:10 p.m. an officer contacted two people during a traffic stop at the corner of Southeast Oak and Southeast Stephens downtown. The officer recognized that there was probable cause for charges from prior investigations.

34-year old Samuel Scevers was charged with three counts of forgery, two counts of first-degree theft, second-degree burglary and for a probation violation. Scevers was detained without bail. A 37-year old woman was cited for first-degree theft and second-degree burglary.
