PLANT CLINIC ACCEPTING GARDENING QUESTIONS

July 27, 2021 10:00 a.m.

The Oregon State University Extension Service Master Gardener Plant Clinic is open Mondays through Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Master Gardener Cheryl Caplan said the clinic is a free service to the public where volunteers work to solve gardening questions. Caplan said it is located at the OSU Extension office on Southeast Douglas Avenue, just east of the Douglas County Courthouse.

The Extension office will be closed during fair week, which means the plant clinic will be closed that week as well.

Caplan said volunteer master gardeners provide research-based horticultural knowledge and resources to help solve gardening problems. Gardeners are encouraged to bring in plant and insect samples for assistance in diagnosing plant diseases and pests as well as aid in identification.

Those who can’t come to the clinic in person can all 236-3052 during clinic hours to speak with a master gardener or leave a message for a return call.
