A release from the City of Roseburg said the 6.85-acre park is in northeast Roseburg on Beulah Street between Lincoln and Nash streets.

About 20 staff from the Public Works Department collaborated on various stages of the renovation. It began in late February and cost about $260,000. Employees were led by Engineering Technician Rick Castle, Parks and Recreation Program Manager Kris Ammerman, Design/Construction Manager Ryan Herinckx and Public Works Director Brice Perkins.

The renovated neighborhood park has a new Americans with Disabilities Act-accessible playground with updated equipment, a resurfaced basketball court, new ADA-accessible walkways, upgraded site amenities and fresh landscaping.

New benches, two modern picnic tables, and a reseeded area for natural grass are also part of the project. A multifunctional water fountain will be added.

The ribbon cutting ceremony will begin at 9:00 a.m.
