The Oregon Health Authority’s COVID-19 Weekly Report, released on Wednesday, shows a drop in daily cases, hospitalizations and deaths from the previous week.

OHA reported 1,371 new daily cases of COVID-19 during the week of Monday, June 21st through Sunday June 27th. That represents a 19 percent decline from the previous week and was the lowest daily case count since the week of June 15th-21st, 2020.

New COVID-19 related hospitalizations fell from 161 to 110.

There were 7 reported COVID-19 related deaths, down from 26 reported the previous week.

OHA said there were 60,610 tests for COVID-19 for the week of June 20th through June 26th. The percentage of positive tests was 3.2 percent.

People 70 years of age and older have accounted for 38 percent of COVID-19 related hospitalizations and 74 percent of COVID-19 related deaths.

The COVID-19 Weekly Outbreak Report shows 21 active COVID-19 outbreaks in senior living communities and congregate living settings, with 3 or more confirmed cases and 1 or more COVID-19 related deaths.
