A missing Myrtle Creek woman was located on Monday.
Detective Kevin Taggart of the Myrtle Creek Police said Hannah Gerlach was reported missing on Sunday afternoon, after failing to show up for work that morning. Co-workers told police that was unusual behavior for the 35-year old.
Monday morning at about 10:30 a.m. Gerlach was contacted by a Douglas County Sheriff’s Deputy near Horseshoe Bend off of Highway 138 West. Taggart said Gerlach declined medical attention at the scene. The woman told deputies that she had been hiking and didn’t appear to be lost, according to Taggart.
Myrtle Creek Police were assisted by DCSO in the search.
Taggart said citizens should have a plan when they go out recreating. He said residents should tell someone where they are going and when they plan to return.
