The Douglas County Board of Commissioners have issued a Notice of Holiday Closure for the Independence Day holiday.

County government offices at the courthouse and at all other locations will be closed on Monday in observance of the day. In addition:

*The Douglas County Landfill and all transfer stations that are normally open on Sundays, will be closed on Sunday, July 4th.

*The Umpqua River Lighthouse Museum in Winchester Bay, will be open for visitors on both Sunday and Monday, for normal business hours.

*All Douglas County operated parks, campgrounds and boat ramps will continue to be open and accessible to the public for the entire Fourth of July weekend. For reservation information on those campgrounds, go to: https://douglascounty-oregon.us/265/Parks
