An unidentified woman was seriously hurt in an ATV accident on Monday.

A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened at about 7:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of Winston Section Road, near Winston. The report said the woman was unresponsive and was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center before being transferred to Legacy Emmanuel Hospital in Portland by REACH Air Ambulance.

The report said deputies went door to door talking to residents in the area trying to identify the victim. None of the neighbors recognized either the victim or the ATV. The investigating is continuing.
