EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT

June 27, 2021 5:00 p.m.

An Excessive Heat Warning Remains in effect for most of southern Oregon, through Thursday night.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said hot temperatures are expected to continue into early this week, and may persist with very little improvement into late this week.

Extreme heat will significantly increase the potential for heat related illnesses, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities.

The high daytime temperatures combined with warm overnight lows will result in high heat risk and heat related illnesses. Some daily high temperature records will be broken. High temperature records for June are likely to be set and there is a chance to set an all-time high for any date.
