Roseburg Police cited a man for unlawful possession of methamphetamine on Thursday.

A Roseburg Police report said just before 11:30 a.m. while checking on transient camps in the 800 block of Northwest Highland Street, an officer heard a noise coming from a tent which sounded like a torch lighter. The report said the officer looked through an opening and observed a 44-year old man allegedly smoking out of a meth pipe.

The officer had the suspect exit the tent and located a syringe loaded with a clear liquid as well as two plastic bags with a white crystal-like substance inside. The weight was well above 2 grams.

The man was released after being cited.
