MAN HOSPITALIZED AFTER BICYCLE VERSUS VEHICLE CRASH

A Roseburg man was hospitalized after a bicycle versus vehicle crash on Wednesday.

A Roseburg Police report said at about 8:45 a.m. a 29-year old man was riding his bike very fast on Northeast Junker and lost control. He eventually rode into the rear quarter panel of a parked pickup. The report said the impact threw him off the bike and into the street.

The victim had a visible collarbone injury and was bleeding from his head. The pickup sustained a very minor dent. The man was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center before later being transferred to Legacy Emmanuel Hospital in Portland. He was listed in good condition at last check, according to a hospital spokesperson.
