The Stewart Park Drive Bridge is closed to both vehicle and pedestrian traffic on Thursday.

A City of Roseburg release said the steel truss bridge known as the “Green Bridge” will be closed until 3:00 p.m. while a contractor trims trees overhanging the bridge. Those can block road signs or create visibility issues for drivers.

The 327-foot-bridge, which was completed in 1933, links Stewart Park to Fir Grove Park and is not to be confused with the Stewart Parkway Bridge, which is just to the west, and can be used as a detour route.
