A missing Elkton man with down syndrome was found Monday evening.

Sergeant Brad O’Dell of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said deputies had been actively searching for Brett Beckley, who went missing from his residence in the 1000 block of Shad Road on Monday morning. O’Dell said dispatchers took a report shortly before 4:15 p.m. that the 24-year old had left his residence at about 2:00 a.m. in a light blue golf cart with an aluminum diamond plated tool box in the back. The man is non-verbal.

Deputies located the man safe and uninjured
