The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed an Azalea man after he allegedly eluded police on Friday.

A DCSO report said at 11:30 a.m. a deputy attempted to stop 35-year old Tyrone Cashatt on Interstate Five near Canyon Creek. The suspect reportedly took off. The pursuit was terminated due to reckless driving and knowledge of who the driver was. A deputy made contact with the suspect by phone and convinced him to turn himself in.

Cashatt was charged with eluding police, reckless driving, reckless endangering, driving while suspended and for a parole violation, He was detained on $68,750 bail.
