MAN ARRESTED IN REPORTED MENACING INCIDENT

A Roseburg man was arrested after a reported menacing incident on Saturday.

Information from Roseburg Police said at 11:40 a.m. officers responded to a man hitting signs with a metal pipe at the downtown parking structure on Southeast Rose. Officers contacted 30-year old Alex Dickson at a nearby intersection. The suspect allegedly walked away when he was told to stop several times. Dickson reportedly turned around and walked fast at the officer, holding the pipe and a wooden stick behind his back.

The report said the officer pulled their taser and pointed it at the man, who then walked the other direction. The man continued to walk away and walked into the intersection of Southeast Lane and Southeast Stephens, where he was tased by another officer.

Dickson was taken into custody and charged with resisting arrest, second-degree disorderly conduct and for menacing.
