VETERAN OUTPATIENT CLINICS TO REMAIN OPEN FOR JUNETEENTH

To recognize Juneteenth, the date that commemorates the emancipation of enslaved people in the United States, President Joe Biden signed a new holiday into effect on Thursday.

The holiday is June 19th, which this year falls on Saturday. That means most federal agencies will be closed on Friday.

A release from the Roseburg VA said while some RVHCS administrative offices will be closed, all outpatient clinics will be open Friday to ensure that veterans have timely access to health care. Veterans are strongly encouraged to keep their appointments.

Veterans with questions or health care concerns can call 440-1000.
