GLIDE SCHOOLS OFFERING FREE MEALS THIS SUMMER

Glide School District is offering free meals to children over summer break at various locations which are Lunchbox Express sites, and through the summer school program.

Free grab “n” go meals will include breakfast and lunch items and are available for children and teens age 18 and younger.

Meals will be served Mondays through Thursdays through August 12th, with the exception of July 5th, at these sites:

*11:00 a.m. to 11:10 a.m. at Dixonville Store

*11:30 a.m. to 11:40 a.m. at Whistler’s Mercantile

*12:10 p.m. to 12:20 p.m. at Peel Store

*12:40 p.m. to 12:50 p.m. at Glide High School

*1:00 p.m. to 1:10 p.m. at Glide Post Office

*1:20 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Umpqua Ranch Co-Op

In addition, breakfasts and lunches will be handed out Mondays through Thursdays July 6th through July 29th at these summer school locations:

*Glide Elementary with breakfast available from 8:00 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. and lunch from 11:00 a.m. to 11:20 a.m.

*Glide Middle and High School for breakfast from 9:00 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. and lunch available from 12:00 p.m. and 12:15 p.m.

Adults may pick up meals for students. The summer food program is part of the USDA Food and Nutrition Service and is administered by the Oregon Department of Education Child Nutrition Programs.
