A Roseburg man was cited for reckless driving on Wednesday.

A Roseburg Police report said at 3:30 p.m. a 83-year old was eastbound on Garden Valley Boulevard approaching the traffic light at Goetz when he was unable to properly apply his brakes. The man swerved to his left into the oncoming westbound lanes where he crashed into a second vehicle which was operated by a 38-year old woman.

The report said that on May 20th the 83-year old was also involved in a non-injury crash where he was cited for not stopping at a stop sign after he was unable to apply his brakes due to a boot being on his right foot. On that day he was advised by officers that he should not be driving while the boot was on his foot.

On Wednesday, the man had the boot on his foot and the report said he admitted that he was unable to apply his brakes properly. No one was injured. Both vehicles had to towed from the scene.
