Roseburg Police cited a man following a vandalism incident on Tuesday.

An RPD report said at 2:30 p.m. a 38-year old allegedly spray painted a green power box behind the Goodwill store on Northwest Stewart Parkway, with blue spray paint. The suspect told an officer he was trying to cover up graffiti but didn’t have the right color, so painted the whole box blue as a form of community service.

The man was cited for third-degree criminal mischief and was released.
