Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a woman for aggravated animal abuse in the first degree, early Monday.

A DCSO report said that 29-year old Monique Ming of Glade, Florida had threatened a victim with a metal pipe but the man managed to lock her outside of his RV in the 3000 block of Melrose Road. A deputy contacted the suspect at 1:00 a.m. in the parking lot and discovered both the pipe and a recently deceased dog nearby in the grass.

The report said Ming was uncooperative and resisted being taken into custody. A charge of resisting arrest was added. Bail was set at $56,250.
