Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 37-year old for allegedly escaping and resisting arrest on Friday night.
A DCSO report said at about 11:50 p.m. a deputy saw Michael Gould on Northwest Main in Winston and determined that there was a warrant for his arrest. Gould was contacted but allegedly started to run away when told he was under arrest. The suspect was taken to the ground where he reportedly continued to fight. After getting Gould back on his feet, he allegedly tried to run away again. The report said the deputy tased Gould. Other deputies arrived and helped to take him into custody.
Charges included second-degree escape, resisting arrest, and for the warrant. Bail was set at $61,250.
